In Photoshop I selected the print option, we selected print because the magazine is a print and publishing document it also allows us to change the size of the the image and the resolution of the page allowing us to make a better page for the magazine.
I have picked that height and that width because it is the industry standard for the type of magazine that I am making it is also the size of the already successful BBC food magazine meaning that I have a good baseline to work from. this is following the typical conventions of this type of magazine.
I have selected the 300 High Resolution image quality this means that we have a high pixel count which means that the photo will be able to show off more detail in the final export of the age making a better quality product. I have set the export file to be a TIF which is a lossless high quality file format. This is so that the magazine can be printed at high quality.
